Whenever you and your family go on vacation, you want to maximize your time and money. This can be difficult, because there are hundreds of places to see and things to do. Like in Sabah, the tourist spots are endless especially if given only a week or less.
The favourite – Island Hopping
Sabah attractions include such things as varied as Sabah island hopping and Sabah cultural village. Several islands encompass Sabah, but the usual destination is Manukan Island, where you could stay at Manukan Island Resort Sabah. Pulau Sapi supposedly has the most beautiful beach, so try coming here as well. However, if you want to go Sabah diving, the best place to go is Sipadan Island. The problem is, it is far from all the capital Kota Kinabalu.
The favourite – The cultural village
As for a cultural vacation, Monsopiad Cultural Village Sabah and Mari-Mari Cultural Village Sabah are the two preferred places. You get a more in-depth look because visitors will see museums and traditional houses of ethnic villages. Also, you will learn how some things are made, like blowpipe, fire, and tattoos. You can watch their daily routines, so it is actually quite an immersion experience.
Virgin Forest at Sabah
The Sabah basin, particularly Maliau Basin, Sabah’s Lost World is another famous destination. Make sure that you leave enough resources to visit these. Words cannot describe the splendour of this place. The forests, flora and fauna, waterfalls… these are sights to behold. Add to that the adventure of trekking; it is truly marvellous.
What about Hot Springs?
If you get tired from all of these, the Poring Hot Springs might be your thing. While bathing, enjoy the landscaped garden surrounding you. It is near Kinabalu Park, where you could see the huge Mt. Kinabalu. Hiking up this mountain will take around two days, but for tourists, seeing it from a distance will be enough.
There are more attractions you can visit; but these are suggestions you could take before you go to Sabah.
